Yash will be making his big comeback to theatres after KGF with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which is one of the biggest releases of the year. The gangster drama was directed by Geetu Mohandas and released all over the world on 26th August 2026. Yash is seen along with Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in the movie.
So, what was the result of Toxic, a hit or flop? It’s too early to make a final decision on the movie’s success or failure when it will be released. Theatrical verdict of a film depends with its continued box office performance of next few days and weeks. The positive pre-release feedback, though, has put Toxic in a fantastic situation to start off, and also means there is significant anticipation for its opening-day shopping.
The most positive aspect of the Yash film is that it is well advanced booked. As reported earlier, the advance gross for India was estimated to be around ₹61.99 crore and almost 19.2 lakh tickets were reportedly sold at thousands of shows and theatres. The numbers indicate that the film has already had a tremendous response and may well have a tremendous opening.
Some early audience responses have also begun to trickle in — and they’re mostly divided in some reports. The visual presentation and action of the film has been noted in Yash’s screen presence and some people viewed the first few minutes and complained about the story and pacing. These are just early reactions and the box office’s word of mouth will be crucial in deciding if a healthy start translates into a box-office hit.
Currently, Toxic has got the film stamina that could make it a huge hit at the box office but it is too early to call it a Hit, Super Hit or Blockbuster when it hits theaters. Huge pre-release orders indicate a lot of demand, but whether it is a good or bad performance will be determined by the box office takings, audience reception and when the initial buzz dies down.
Toxic is too early to call a Hit or Flop, but the fact that it is already hugely overbooked and has a strong opening buzz are both signs of a very promising start. Verified Day 1, opening weekend and subsequent box-office numbers will be the true verdict of the box-office.
