The upcoming movie on the mythological theme ‘Ramayana’ has been the topic of the week and in this poignant scene, actor Yash and his young son are seen with each other. Actor Yathra (Yash) is upset after seeing Ravana and Jatayu’s hardcore fight, actress Sai Pallavi has updated in the latest video. His children are alleged to have killed Yash while he watched the movie it premiered in Los Angeles. The moment was, in particular, touching as the child struggled to accept the behaviour of his father on the screen as he was playing a part in a film.
Sai Pallavi recalls that Ravana’s killing of Jatayu, the courageous bird, who tries to protect Sita, was very moving for Yatharv. As the little boy said, it should have been, “I don’t like that bird getting killed”. He also disapproved and they weren’t killed in the film, either. This was a beautiful moment as the child’s reaction to a dramatic moment was innocent, said Sai Pallavi. His reply was very heart-wrenching and very moving on how to get the audience to connect with an actor – especially a parent doing an antagonist in front of the child.
Jatayu is the epitome of courage, loyalty and sacrifice in the epic story of Ramayana. Ravana abducts Sita, but still faces Ravana even though he knows the danger he is in. The most touching part of the story is the battle between the bird and Ravana for Ravana took the fight against injustice and fought valiantly even in the face of death. This battle is portrayed on the big screen and Ramayana explores the concepts of bravery, responsibility and the consequences of bad actions. The reply from Yatharv is reported, but it’s fitting to the emotional story of Jatayu’s battle, and the empathy that the viewer may feel for the character attempting to save a life at risk.
Yash has also discussed the difficulties he faced in making Ravana’s character and explained that he wanted Ravana to be more than a two dimensional character. The goal was to explain to the audience Ravana’s super power, intelligence, wit and weakness along with understanding which is he or she trying to portray and what is he/she doing wrong. Yash has explained that he is not going to threaten Ravana, show him through his looks and mind. Talking about Ravana, Sai Pallavi has mentioned what manner he will be intimidated in and how he will be exhibited through expressions and psychology. Ranbir Kaoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey will be the pillars of the movie, playing the roles of Rama, Sita, Ravana, Hanuman and Lakshmana respectively. The movie is expected to be released theatrically all over the world on 5 November 2026, after Nitesh Tiwari’s direction..
However it was when Ravana met up with Jatayu in the film that it was a fight between Ravana vs Jatayu where Yash’s son cried that was grabbed by the headlines in the promotions. Not only in the scale of its mythology, visual effects and performances, also the reaction from the human side towards great stories. It was a special moment for Yash when Ravana became the antagonist for his beloved Ganesha, also as the antagonist of the kid, who couldn’t bear to see his father kill a bird. This is a conversation that is reported and has emerged as an iconic one to have while waiting the Ramayana as it takes center stage the reality of feeling for the other’s compassion, innocence and moral awareness even in a fictional battle.
